📋Simple tenant documentation workflow

How Tenant Receipts Turns Problems Into Organized Records.

The app is designed around one practical idea: when something happens with your rental, document it clearly, keep it organized, and make it easy to find later.

1

Create a Request or Report

Start with a repair issue, documentation request, move-in report, or move-out report.

2

Add Details and Evidence

Record dates, issue categories, landlord contact method, notes, and photos when needed.

3

Generate Organized Records

Keep a clean timeline of active and completed items so your records are easier to review.

Designed for Repeatable Documentation

Tenant Receipts gives tenants a consistent process instead of relying on memory, scattered screenshots, or informal messages.

  • ✓Track active requests and completed records.
  • ✓Keep evidence connected to the issue it belongs to.
  • ✓Store important tenant information locally on the device.

Built Around Clarity

The goal is not to argue your case for you. The goal is to help you keep clean, readable, evidence-ready documentation.

Tenant Receipts does not provide legal advice. It helps organize information and draft documentation.

Document Early. Stay Organized.

Small details are easier to preserve when the process is simple.

Use it independently

Create repair issues, documentation requests, move-in reports, and move-out reports. Add photos and notes, generate Word documents, organize active and completed records, and set follow-up reminders.

Your original records stay on your phone. Independent use does not contact the landlord connection backend, and the legal-help directory remains available locally.

Connect when you choose

Accept a landlord invitation by QR code, link, or manual code after checking the property and unit. Preview exactly what will be shared and choose whether to send each record.

Shared Cases shows the case number, current status, timeline, and dated PDF records. Download copies of your own cases without asking management. Offline submissions wait in a visible queue and retry when connectivity returns.

Disconnecting preserves your local records, cached timelines, and downloaded PDFs. Optional email and password linking helps restore connected access on a new phone.

Connected features: require a participating landlord and configured companion services. Independent documentation remains available without connecting. Tenant Receipts does not process rent payments.

The connected workflow

  1. Accept the invitation and confirm your landlord, property, and unit.
  2. Create a record locally, review the sharing preview, and choose Send to landlord.
  3. Follow acknowledgement, work progress, scheduling, and completion in Shared Cases.
  4. Download the dated PDF records for your own files.

Your original record remains yours

Sending a case does not replace the local record, Word document, or reminder. Each shared submission is linked to its case, and retries avoid creating duplicate cases.

Landlord internal notes and contractor communications are not included in the tenant timeline.
